Yes. Recording, automatic entries, maps, replay, photos, tours, import and export, and iCloud sync are free, with no limit on trips.
Do I need Pro without instruments?
Not necessarily. Pro shows its strength with instruments connected, but trip stories and web sharing work with the iPhone alone.
One-time purchase or yearly?
Both unlock the same features. The one-time purchase is yours forever; the yearly plan renews automatically until you cancel it in your App Store settings.
